Can be encountered year-round, often opportunistically during dives or boat travel. Time of day isn't usually a specific factor for divers.
Wide tolerance, generally 10-32°C (50-90°F).
Encounters while diving often happen by chance near reefs or in open water transits. More predictable sightings occur in areas with resident populations (e.g., specific bays/coastlines). Interaction is usually initiated by the dolphins; divers should avoid chasing, touching, or feeding them. Listen for their clicks and whistles.
