Deepblu is a cloud logbook, not a file on your computer

Deepblu stores dives in its app and cloud account. That makes it convenient on a phone, but it also means there is no dive computer to plug in and no obvious file to move. The export step happens inside the app.

The export route

  1. Open the Deepblu app and sign in.
  2. Open your logbook and find the export or share action for a dive, a trip or the whole logbook.
  3. Choose a file format Depthlog can read: UDDF, CSV or JSON.
  4. Save the file to your device or send it to yourself.
  5. Open the Depthlog import page, choose the file and review the dives before confirming.
Depthlog checks for duplicates, so if you export in several batches you can import them one after another without creating double logs.

If Deepblu only offers a PDF

Some app versions export a PDF summary. A PDF is useful for reading, but it is not structured data, so it cannot be imported automatically. In that case:

  • enter the dives manually in Depthlog (the form pre-fills from your history where it can);
  • or look for a CSV share option in the app;
  • or ask Deepblu support whether a data export is available.

What moves across, and what does not

DataImported
Depth, bottom time, gas mixYes
Dive profile and samplesYes, with UDDF
Date, site and notesUsually yes
Photos and app-specific mediaNot automatically

Troubleshooting

  • No export action: update the app and check the share menu.
  • File will not import: confirm it is UDDF, CSV or JSON, not a PDF.
  • Missing dives: export in smaller batches and check the date range.

Why move to Depthlog

Depthlog keeps the record you already built, and adds what a cloud logbook does not:

  • lifetime statistics and SAC trends;
  • a repetitive-dive planner with your real surface intervals;
  • buddy tags, a dive map, certificates and shareable summaries;
  • one timeline across Deepblu and any other brand.
