Ratio logs are capable, but the export path is not obvious

Ratio computers record good dive profiles, and the Ratio app is the natural place to sync them. The problem is the same as with every manufacturer ecosystem: the logs stay inside the app, and moving them to another logbook requires an export step that is not always documented.

Two routes that work

Route 1: the Ratio app

  1. Sync your computer with the Ratio app over Bluetooth.
  2. Open the dive or the logbook section and look for an export or share action.
  3. Save the file in a format Depthlog can read: UDDF, CSV or JSON.
  4. Open the Depthlog import page, choose the file and review the dives.
If the app only offers a PDF, the PDF is for reading, not for importing. Use the Subsurface route instead.

Route 2: Subsurface

Subsurface is free and open source. It supports a number of Ratio models over Bluetooth. If your model is on the compatibility list:

  1. Install Subsurface from the official release page.
  2. Open the import section, choose Dive Computer, select Ratio and download the dives.
  3. Export the selected dives as UDDF.
  4. Import the UDDF file into Depthlog.
Bluetooth pairing is the usual failure point. Remove the old pairing, keep the computer awake and retry. If the model is not listed by Subsurface, use the Ratio app route.

Troubleshooting

  • The app does not show an export: update it, and check whether the export is behind a share action rather than a menu.
  • Subsurface does not list your model: use the app route or contact Ratio support.
  • The file will not import: confirm it is UDDF, CSV or JSON.

Why bring your Ratio logs to Depthlog

Depthlog gives the history a purpose:

  • lifetime statistics and SAC trends across every computer;
  • a repetitive-dive planner with your real surface intervals;
  • buddy tags, a dive map, certificates and shareable summaries;
  • one timeline, whatever brand you dive next.
